departure with Harry to Canada. A cozy little show with witty human characters that many folks can relate to - the sensible and tastefully meddling matriarch, the hint of curmudgeon of a husband/step dad, the every gal's best friend congenial and articulate adult yuppie daughter and her plucky yuppie classy bombshell best friend and of course, the requisite fast talking, schmoozing wheeler and dealer family friend/upstairs neighbor/future mate, etc. After years of uncertainty, Jean's daughter Judith marries Alistair, Lionel's publisher, in a country wedding.
However, starting with the early sixth-season episode "Breezy", the show began to shift both its timeslot and its day of airing.
Truly enjoyable.

I am a fan of British humor and Dame Judy Dench, so it was no surprise that I took to this series when I first discovered it many years ago. It's hard to believe it's been more than 10 years since the series ended.
