The CIO seemed nice enough but all the managers under her had no leadership skills and the lack of communication was deafening.I enjoyed working at FARO but after almost a year of doing my job plus my bosses after she left I had been told I would be promoted but the CFO at the time (no longer there) kept finding excuses not to do a promotion nor pay me a reasonable salary for all that I was responsible for. It is a joke to have these inexperienced people serve as director and CTO who don't know how to perform their jobs. The mood is foul at Faro as employees know 350 plus layoffs are coming.Constant change which ultimately led to a mass layoff of over 500 employees. None....not even one day. Love it. It is completely a joke to have these guys serve in these important positions.
I was on the road, HR called, told me I was one of over 500 being laid off and told me to go home. There were approximately 150 layoffs in February almost all coming from sales and admin.. Doesn't Recommend. There are some very kind employees. Bonuses were also a nice perk.Fast growing, fast paced environment. During my time many of the original founders were still on board.Very poor management in engineering team. Management is terrible. the managers always make themselves available when those that are not part of your department.you're on your own and you rarely get the management assistance you request. In my experience, when mistakes are made, those responsible rectify quickly.Great products, industry leading support and innovative product development That represents almost 1/3 of the total employee head count. They said someone got mad and gave their two weeks last year and reported the director to HR for poor petty behavior making fun of other employees and favoring 3 or 4 employees. I have no complaints about FARO at all.
Company is going through drastic head count reductions in order to "Maximize shareholder value" . The management is very professional. All except those favorite employees seemed to know about it, that department is a mess. The 10K filing for the 4th quarter released mid February 2020 states the projected head count reduction will reach approx.. 500. … Help them out by rating your employer.Ask a question about working or interviewing at FARO Technologies.
