In 1956, at the age of 45, he abandoned a career as a doctor to pursue a life dedicated almost exclusively to surfing and raising a family - and he hasn't looked back since.
The movie is set in chaotic 1920's China, when warlords fought each other for power while Sun Yat-Sen's underground movement tried to establish a democratic republic. When a troupe of danseuses becomes unemployed, one of them takes up burlesque dancing while another dreams of performing ballet. Ex.
