Press question mark to learn the rest of the keyboard shortcuts When it comes to clock speeds we should also expect Ampere-based cards to have between 100-200MHz GPU clock speed uplifts versus Turing, all while being more power efficient thanks to the new Ampere GPU architecture and the fact that's on 7nm. If NVIDIA removed all stops in the pursuit of driving higher voltages on their GPUs, we could see 400-500MHz GPU clock improvements on custom cards. Finally, NVIDIA is reportedly set to offer its next-gen GeForce RTX 3000 serieds at cheaper prices than the current-gen GeForce RTX 2000 series.I am naive, but I am not as naive to think that the generation of NVIDIA cards will be cheaper than its predecessor. They don't really have a reason to sink AMD or get into a price war except----Ray Tracing - Nvidia NEEDS this to be adopted, so making cards more accessible is a long term strategy. For example with CPUs, I am not really concerned with intel's monopoly as Ryzen has mostly broken it and intel can either up its game or see its market share shift in favour of AMD. Then you barely have to save anything, I'm hoping the 3070 is in the 400'sGiving people the least they're willing to accept while charging them the most they're willing to pay.If Nvidia follow the same core count increase that they have been doing since the 900 series (12 64 core SMs) on their flagship gaming card we could see an 80SM 3080ti.With the ray tracing, of Nvidia really want to achieve 4k ray tracing, they will probably aim for about 2 RTC per SM.This means that the next gen 80SM 3080ti will have 2.6x faster ray tracing than its predecessor(26 gigarays). If Nvidia want to stay in the race against Navi they will probably need to stick the Pascal pricing. However a 3080 ti for 700 seems a bit too cheap and 800 seems more reasonable.More ram seems viable as GDDR7 isn’t launching anytime soon and probably won’t be launching before 2020 H1 where the ampere cards will. The company revealed the price and release date for the RTX 3070, 3080… Now I've decided to wait for the 3080 Ti. NVIDIA announced its latest GPUs, the GeForce RTX 30-series, based on its ‘Ampere’ architecture.
I’m guessing it’s gonna be pricey, and you could just buy a 2080 due to price cutsgiven what we seen on leaks, 3080ti may be really expensiveA place for everything NVIDIA, come talk about news, drivers, rumors, GPUs, the industry, show-off your build and more. But there are a few reasons why it would make sense for Nvidia to do this.Competition - AMD is capable of taking mid-tier performance price down really low. With the 2080ti you cannot get these rates if you want to game on a big screen.
The 2080ti does not support HDMI 2.1 and most 4k tvs rolling out now will support 4k UHD at 120hz+ refresh rates with HDMI 2.1. I feel ya since im in the same boat of wanting to buy 2080 super or wait and buy 3080 since the conference is been announced for 14th may i feel like a kid who has candy right in front of him but is told if he waits..he’ll get a better oneI doubt a release date will be announced. Nvidia had to push the thermal and power efficiency bullet points to stand out. Which didn't quite happeIt does seem odd. By using our Services or clicking I agree, you agree to our use of cookies.
I would wait to buy a 2080ti until Black Friday or used.
405k. 7nm gives NVIDIA much more room to play in, joined with the Ampere GPU architecture. So it really depends on what they have been doing with their time.Growth of Computer learning - Nvidia has been trying to corner this market for a long time, and they are well ahead of the competition in many respects.
... show-off your build and more. We would've then seen NVIDIA release its next-gen GeForce RTX 3080 and GeForce RTX 3070 graphics cards, both based on the new Ampere GPU … If they have been cramming more money into R&D then the price would still need to be up. If AMD is releasing a card with computer learning abilities, Nvidia really wants to nip that in the bud. That being said... yeah probably not gonna be cheaper..I wonder if the pricing is linked to the success of the new AMD 5700 series?A bit of competition has forced them to sharpen their pencils.I am still concerned that there is not enough competition at the high end.
