When asked if he was alright, Shard tells Ezylryb of Allomere's death, and how he thought it would bring him peace to serve justice, but it did not. The game takes place during the events of the movie. As Shard takes offense to Parzival insulting his father, it escalates into a fight between the two owls and Allomere gives the flint mops, or work for punishment. When Shard and his companions returned to the Great Ga'Hoole Tree, he was dismayed that the Guardians have left to St. Aegolius to confront the Pure Ones without him in the light of confirming Pure Ones' threat. Surtr and the Pure Ones had been defeated years ago by Lyze of Kiel and the land had been returned to peace. Allomere attempts to pursuade Shard to join him in battle, but he insists that he must avenge his father. Before Shard returns to the Great Tree, Bryony tells him that she had overheard Pure Ones speaking of a slipgizzle from the Great Tree. What the GREAT GREY OWL lacks in speed it makes up for with strength and brawn. He begins nightdreaming about being in battle, which queues the intro credits and first part of gameplay- flying around the tree and throwing hot coals at catapults. Shard and Ezylryb take flight, off to transport the owlets of St. Aegolius to the Great Ga'Hoole Tree. After many years of isolation, Grettir took a mate named Lygeia and had an egg together. He informs Shard that against popular belief, Grettir did fight valiantly in an effort to safe the Monastery, but was unsuccessful. Landing on a branch outside, Shard overlooks the battlefield with Ezylryb. It is based on the film of the same name, and includes some elements from the books. But as the battle continues, Shard gets surrounded by hagsfiends and as they collapse in for the kill, Shard wakes up from his dream and we are introduced to our two main characters, Shard and Parzival. It focuses on a young owl named Shard, who embarks on a journey across the world of Ga'Hoole to uncover the truth about the evil Pure Ones and stop their plans. After vanquishing both the Chieftain and what remained of the bats, they free a wandering hermit named Uriah, who tells them that the Pure Ones are working with the bats to gain control of a mysterious substance called flecks. The flint mop is lighting torches for the Great Tree and just as Shard and Parzival finish their job, the Search and Rescue chaw comes in with a band of owlets, later revealed to be Soren, Gylfie, Twilight and Digger, and they are being attacked by a murder of crows. Since the dawn of time, Guardians have watched over the legends and myths of this world. Shard is tasked with finding an eagle named Streak and finding out the cause for the disappearance of young owlets in the area. They are most likely supposed to be vampire bats like the smaller ones in the movie, and are given owls and owlets to feed on in return for protecting the Pure One hideouts. Shard and Parzival follow a squadron of Pure Ones who lead them to a prison with resistance fighters locked up in them. These bats can generally be taken down in one hit by stronger owls and wingmen. Shard charges into battle, at the side of Allomere, destroying catapults and defeating hagsfiends. Its abilities will allow you to handle many situations quite effectively. With Jim Sturgess, Hugo Weaving, David Wenham, Emily Barclay. Shard stealthily enters The Stone Palace, weaving through caves and fighting off enemies until he reaches a deep magma chamber, where the Forge is located. On their way to The Ruins where Cormac was said to live, they encounter bats, Pure Ones, and for the first time, They eventually spot an injured owl, who is revealed to be Cormac. After they defeated the Hagsfiends, they found an injured hermit named Cormac who helped them rescue monks from the Pure Ones and the Hagsfiends before disposing the fleck pillars, prompting the Hagsfiend Queen to appear and attacked. Use its great speed to skillfully dodge attacks and weave between enemy defenses. Streak becomes Shard's wingman along with Parzival and they go on missions for the rest of the story. Ezylryb reassured that they do but for what they give and protect. He tells them about hagsfiends, cross-breeds between crows and owls, and that they have returned after being long dead. He blows up the furnaces, but on his way out he encounters Allomere. General enemies that can be found in most areas. Ezylryb then implored Shard to help their fellow guardians evacuating the owlets at St. Aegolius and bringing them back to the Great Ga'Hoole Tree.
