Lake Balkhash (Kazakh: Балқаш Көлі, Balqaş köli; Russian: Озеро Балхаш, Ozero Balkhash) is one of the largest lakes in Asia and 13th largest continental lake in the world.It is located in southeastern Kazakhstan, in Central Asia, and belongs to an endorheic (closed) basin shared by Kazakhstan and China, with a small part in Kyrgyzstan.
You can enjoy fishing for marinka, pike perch, bream, catfish and others.Lake Balkhash is the largest body of water without an outlet after the Caspian and Aral seas. Its eastern part is saline, and the western one is fresh.
I went to Balkhash many years ago, in 2009 and 2011. Also interesting is the marine life of the lake.
