You can also go to the north side and sit at one of the many restaurants or bars (or even sit outside) for a delicious meal.Barrio Alto is Lisbon’s high (as in elevated ) neighborhood. Hi, It depends of what you want to see and do in Lisbon. This guide will detail what is feasible in 5 days of typical sightseeing and will provide links to further in-depth information. Stunning monastery. Contained within the town there are three palaces, a romantic ruin and an assortment of other 19th century stately houses.For the final day of the 5 day tour there is a choice: it can be spent on one of the excellent beaches that are close to Lisbon or exploring the historic fishing town of Cascais. While you could plan a Lisbon to Porto day trip, the city is in the heart of wine and Port country and is well worth a 2-day visit as part of your Portugal itinerary.The Lisbon to Porto train is very easy to navigate. September in Portugal will still be warm with plenty of sunshine. Lisbon is one of the few cities in western Europe with old-world charm. I went to Porto too, but by bus. The railway station is in the middle of the city and a convenient spot from which to explore. You could use the car to see Cordoba and Seville.

I would book your train tickets ahead of time because usually, it’s cheaper with advance purchase compared to buying it on the day you want to travel.
